Reference material for Ranger Downloads. If you are setting the app up for the first time, start with the tutorial instead: it gets you to a working download, and these pages assume you have done that.

Some of what is described here is available only on certain plans. Where that is the case the page says so, and plans and storage has the summary.

• How delivery works The path from a paid order to a file on the buyer's disk, the delivery triggers, and what is re-checked on every click.
• What buyers see The download page, the whole-order zip, the Downloads page in customer accounts, and the button for Shopify's order confirmation email.
• Download limits The limit settings, where each one can be set, and how conflicting settings resolve.
• File versions Replacing a file without breaking existing links, rolling back, and telling prior buyers that a new version is out.
• Emails Editing the delivery email and update notice, the placeholders they understand, your logo and sender, and sending from your own domain.
• The back-catalogue import Giving buyers from before you installed the app the files they paid for, and controlling exactly who gets what.
• Shared link flags What the Fraud page is telling you, what it deliberately does not do, and what to do about a flag.
• Plans and storage What the plans differ on, which features are gated, how storage is counted, and what happens when you run out.
