Terms of service
These terms cover the use of Product Mirroring Wizard (“the app”) by the Shopify merchants who install it. The app is provided by Ioun Developers (“we”, “us”).
Acceptance
Installing the app, or continuing to use it, means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
The service
The app links product listings in your Shopify store into parent and child relationships, and copies the fields you choose from a parent product to its children. It runs when Shopify reports that a parent has been updated, when you press the sync button on a rule, and when you run a bulk sync from the dashboard.
The app is provided as it is described on this site and on its App Store listing. Features change over time, and the changelog is the record of what changed and when.
Accounts and your relationship with Shopify
Access to the app follows access to your Shopify admin: anyone who can open the app in your admin can create, change and delete rules. Controlling that access is yours to do. Your use of Shopify itself is governed by your agreement with Shopify, not by this page.
Billing
Billing runs through Shopify and appears on your Shopify invoice. Current plans and prices are on the App Store listing. We never handle card details. Cancelling is changing your plan or uninstalling the app in your Shopify admin.
The app overwrites product data by design
This is the point of the app, and it is worth stating plainly.
When a rule runs, the fields enabled in its sync config are written to every child product in that rule, replacing whatever those fields held before. With images enabled, the images on a child are removed and replaced with the parent’s. Values a child held before a sync are not kept anywhere by the app, and there is no undo.
Accordingly:
- You choose what mirrors. Deciding which fields a rule copies, and which products are its children, is your decision to make and to review.
- You keep your own backups. Keeping an export or other copy of your product data before making broad changes is your responsibility. The app is not a backup, and its logs record what happened rather than what the previous values were.
- We are not liable for data overwritten in line with your own rules. Where the app writes a child product exactly as the configuration you set up says it should, the result is your configuration working, and we are not responsible for the loss of what it replaced.
Acceptable use
You must not use the app to alter listings you are not entitled to alter, to publish content that is unlawful where you sell, or to attempt to reach data belonging to another store. You must not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse engineer the service, or use it in a way that damages shared infrastructure.
We may suspend an installation that is being used in those ways, that is damaging shared infrastructure, or whose billing has failed. Where it is possible to warn you first, we will.
Availability
We run the app carefully and we will tell you when something has gone wrong, but this page sets no service level and promises no uptime figure. The app depends on Shopify’s APIs and on Shopify’s webhook delivery, and it cannot run when those are unavailable.
Data and privacy
What the app stores, why, who else sees it, and what happens to it when you uninstall is set out in the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The app, its name and its interface remain ours. Installing it grants you the right to use it for your own store while your installation is active, and nothing more. Your product data remains yours, and we claim no rights in it.
Termination and what happens to your data
You may uninstall at any time from your Shopify admin. We may end an installation where these terms are broken, or where we discontinue the app.
On uninstall, the app’s access credentials are deleted immediately, so nothing further can be read or written in your store. Shopify then sends a store redaction request about 48 hours later, and the rules, child links, sync configs, logs and store record we hold for you are deleted. A reinstall within that window finds your setup intact.
Content that has already been mirrored onto your child products stays in your store exactly as it is. Uninstalling stops future writes, it does not reverse past ones, and we do not restore previous values.
Disclaimers
The app is provided as it is, without warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose. Shopify’s API may reject a write, rate limit us, or change, and a sync may therefore fail or be delayed. The sync history in the app is the record of what succeeded and what did not.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost sales, or for the cost of restoring product data, including product data the app overwrote in line with the rules you configured. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and the current version is always this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.
