Terms of service

These terms cover the use of Bundles Monk (“the app”) by the Shopify merchants who install it. The app is provided by Ioun Developers (“we”, “us”).

Acceptance

Installing or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.

The service

The app lets you define pair bundles and complete sets in your Shopify admin, and applies the rewards you configure to qualifying carts at checkout, using a Shopify Function and an automatic discount that the app registers in your store. It also provides theme app blocks that display those offers on your product pages.

The app is provided as it is described on this site and on its App Store listing. Features change over time, and the changelog is the record of what changed and when.

Your account and the Shopify relationship

The app runs inside Shopify and is installed against a Shopify store. Your relationship with Shopify, including your store, your plan and your buyers, is governed by your agreements with Shopify, not by these terms. You are responsible for your Shopify account and for who you give access to it.

We may rely on Shopify’s platform for authentication, billing, hosting of the discount function and delivery of the storefront blocks. Where Shopify changes its platform in a way that changes how the app behaves, we will follow the platform.

Billing

Billing runs through Shopify. Plans, prices and allowances are shown on the app’s App Store listing and on Shopify’s own plan page, charges appear on your Shopify invoice, and upgrades, downgrades and cancellation all happen there. We do not take payment details and cannot issue charges or refunds outside Shopify’s billing.

Plan allowances affect how many bundles and complete sets run at once. Sets beyond your allowance are switched off at checkout until you upgrade, as described on the limits page.

Your responsibility for your discounts

You configure the discounts. You decide which products pair with which, what a set contains, and what each reward is worth.

You are responsible for testing your discounts before relying on them. A reward applies to real orders as soon as it is saved, and a percentage or amount entered incorrectly discounts real money. Place a test order and confirm the discount before you promote an offer.

We are not liable for revenue lost to a discount that was configured, tested or promoted incorrectly, including a reward set to the wrong value, a set built from the wrong products, or an offer that interacts with your other discounts differently from what you expected.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, to breach Shopify’s terms or policies, to misrepresent a price or a saving to buyers, or to attempt to gain access to parts of the service that are not yours. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or to reverse engineer it beyond what applicable law permits.

Availability

We aim to keep the app available and working, but we do not offer an uptime guarantee. The app may be unavailable for maintenance, for reasons at our hosting provider, or because of changes at Shopify.

An outage of the app’s admin does not by itself stop discounts applying: the discount function runs inside Shopify’s checkout, reading configuration already stored in your store. Changes you make while the admin is unavailable will not reach checkout until it is back.

Data and privacy

What the app stores and what it does not is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Intellectual property

The app, its code, its interface and its documentation remain ours. Nothing here transfers ownership of them to you. Your products, your content and the configuration you create in your own store remain yours.

Termination and uninstall

You may uninstall the app at any time, from your Shopify admin. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where required by Shopify, or where continuing would be unlawful.

On uninstall, Shopify removes the automatic discount the app registered, so bundle and complete-set discounts stop applying from that point. We delete the session records for your store immediately, and delete the remaining shop record when Shopify’s shop redaction request arrives. Configuration written into your own store is not ours to remove.

Disclaimers

The app is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales or lost data, arising from your use of the app. This includes revenue lost to a misconfigured discount, as set out above.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page is when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after a change means accepting it.
